TETFUND is set to upgrade SUMAS ICT Centre to AI-powered peer to peer pedagogical centre

SUMAS is in the news again for very good reasons:

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) is set to upgrade the University ICT Centre to AI-powered peer to peer pedagogical centre.

Aside powering the University e-library, Computer Science, Information and Communications Technology, and Computer Engineering programmes, and serving the multi-faceted ICT needs of the university, the Center will also be used as a state of the art JAMB Centre and capable also of serving other CBT needs of the university, and beyond.

This pleasant development, the only one coming to any HEI in Enugu State, and one of only 3 to the South East was communicated to the VC by TETFUND today, 1st June 2026.

This development is coming only weeks after work started on the 1MW solar power project designed to provide reliable off-greed power to meet all the electric power needs of the University.

Meanwhile scoping of the mega 4 billion naira intervention for the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment has reached advanced stages.

Congratulations to the VC, Management Team and of course, the Pro-Chancellor/ Government and all those who remain committed to building SUMAS.

To Go be the Glory.
