Dr. Chielo Celestine Ifeanyi is the Ag Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Department of ICT, State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS). He holds a doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D) in Computer Software Development, a Masters degree and a BSc from the department of Computer and Robotics Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He holds several other certifications both in computer hardware repair and maintenance and in numerous applications like Oracle, Python (Django, kivy, Anaconda etc), React (React.js, React Native), WordPress, Cloud Computing, Data Science and Machine Learning etc.
He is a deputy director in the ICT center of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and at the same time the head of Web Ranking/Webometrics Unit of the ICT Center at UNN. He has served as head of other several Units in ICT, UNN; like the Software development Unit, University Students Portal Management Unit and so on. Again, he supervised the 2008/2009 records digitalization project of the University at the MIS Unit of the University. He coordinated the implementation and training of the University Learning Management System (Moodle).
Since his employment in the ICT center of UNN, as a Programmer 1, Dr. Chielo have worked both at the backend and frontend of many software solutions of the University. He has developed software applications for the University of Nigeria Nsukka like, University of Nigeria Mobile App (UNMAP), University of Nigeria Customer Service Application, University of Nigeria Lion Ride application and so on. He has also held several ICT trainings for the entire university both at Nsukka and Enugu campuses like Customer Service Application training, MOODLE learning management training, social media training, Visibility training and so many others. As a programmer, Dr. Chielo C.I specialized in the development of database applications as well as other applications like mobile applications, desktop applications and other web apps, He is very passionate about application development and implementation, digitization, automation and other forms of ICT applications in educational and other institutions. He has also developed business solutions for some other cooperate organizations. He is also a professional in data science and machine learning.
Dr. Chielo C.I. has served satisfactorily in many University Committees and is presently serving as a member University of Nigeria, Web Ranking Committee. He is also a member of National Association of Computer Educators of Nigeria. During his tenure as Head of Web Ranking/Webometrics Section in ICT Center of, he achieved the following for the University of Nigeria: (a) first position in July 2017 edition of Webometrics Google Scholar Citation ranking, (b) first position in July 2017 edition of Ranking of Nigeria Universities Based on Online Popularity by Nigerian Archive (c) 2nd Position in Webometrics in two consecutive seasons. January 2018 and June 2019 webometric ranking results. (d) UNN maintained first position in Webometrics Google Scholar Citation ranking for more than 4 years from 2017.
Dr. Chielo Celestine Ifeanyi has served as the Secretary General of Aguobu Umumba Town Union Assembly from 2018 till date. He is also the present Local Government Cordinator of all the Town Union Secretary Generals in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State. He is also the present Chief Editor of Onitsha Provincial Praise God Magazine and also the Assistant Chief Editor of Nsukka Diocesan Water Magazine both of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria. He is a member of the core executives of the Nsukka diocesan service of communion for over eight years now and a member of the Provincial Service of Communion. He has also served as a general coordinator of Jesus Reigns St Peters Chaplaincy UNN.
