The maiden convocation is particularly significant as it will mark the graduation of the first set of students of SUMAS, representing the culmination of years of academic engagement, institutional development and commitment to producing competent graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Established to advance specialized education in medicine, allied health sciences, natural and applied sciences, engineering and other related disciplines, SUMAS continues to position itself as an emerging centre of academic excellence, innovation and professional training.

For the graduating students, December 5, 2026, will represent the beginning of a new chapter as they prepare to take their knowledge beyond the University environment and apply it in their chosen professions and communities.

With the Chancellor’s visit and consultations with the Pro-Chancellor, SUMAS is strengthening its preparations for what promises to be a historic celebration of academic achievement, institutional progress and a new generation of graduates.
