Dr. Ani Celestine Okafor hails from Amukabi Nomeh Unateze in Nkanu-East LGA of Enugu State. I attended Special Science School Ihe- Awgu where i graduated in 1996 and later proceded to the Prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka where i obtained a professional degree in science laboratory Technology (Physiology/Pharmacology option) and graduated with the best result in the department. Later proceeded to the College of Medicine & Health Sciences of the Abia State University Uturu where i obtained a Post graduate Diploma in Human Physiology and from there back to the College of Medicine of the University of Nigeria Enugu campus where i obtained my Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
I have worked for fourteen (14) years as a Laboratory technologist in both Physiology/ Pharmacology Laboratories where i rose to the rank of Chief laboratory Technologist before conversion to academics in 2020.
As at the time of this report is the Pioneer Head of Department of Human Physiology Faculty of Basic Medical Science College of Medicine State University of Medical & Applied Sciences Igbo-Eno Enugu state.
My area of interest in teaching include but not limited to Excitable tissue Physiology Autonomic Nervous System and Cardiovascular Physiology
