INSTRUCTIONS TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES FOR SUMAS 2024/2025 SESSION

Admission Guidelines for Candidates Offered Provisional Admission into SUMAS, Igbo-Eno for the 2024/2025 Academic Session

Candidates who have been offered provisional admission into the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS) for the 2024/2025 session are required to follow the steps below to complete their registration process:

Step 1: Accept Admission on the JAMB Portal

Log in to the JAMB Portal and accept your admission if you have not done so.

Step 2: Log In to the SUMAS Student Portal

  1. Visit the SUMAS ePortal.
  2. Click the NEW STUDENT tab located at the top right corner of the page.
  3. Log in using your JAMB registration number as your username and SUMAS$1 as your default password.
  4. Upon login, your profile dashboard will appear. You will need to update your profile with additional information. To do this, click the Update Profile tab at the top left corner of the page.

Step 3: Update Your Profile

  1. Click the Edit button to update your biodata.
  2. Ensure that your Guardian/Sponsor information is entered correctly, with a separate email address (different from yours).
  3. Under the O’ Level Results & Info tab, input your O’Level results, including subjects and grades. To add O’ Level subjects, click on the Add O’ Level info tab at the top right corner indicated by the white arrow to select O’Level Examination from the list, subjects, and the corresponding grades. Note that you are to click the button for every O’level subject you are filling  until you are done inputting all subjects. Two sittings is allowed. 
  4. Enter your JAMB scores and upload your JAMB Admission Letter under the JAMB Results & Info tab. Also add all your jamb subject and scores by clicking the Add Jamb Subject and Scores Button at thge top of the page.
  5. Upload your profile picture and other necessary documents under the Profile Image and Picture tab. Ensure all images are less than 600kb in size.
  6. Click Update to save your changes. Double-check your information before submitting.

Step 4: Generate Acceptance Fee Invoice

  1. After updating your profile, you will be required to pay an acceptance fee of ₦30,400.00.
  2. To generate your invoice, click the Generate Fee Invoice tab.
  3. Select Acceptance Fee under Fee Type and click Generate to create your payment invoice.
  4. Print the generated invoice.

Step 5: Pay the Acceptance Fee

  1. You can pay the acceptance fee at any commercial bank using the printed invoice.
  2. Alternatively, to pay online, click the Pay With QuickTeller tab on the dashboard. Fill in your email address and invoice reference number, then select Acceptance Fee.
  3. Complete the transaction, ensuring the payment status reflects as successful.

Step 6: Generate Clearance Form

  1. After paying the acceptance fee, generate your clearance form by clicking the Generate Clearance Form tab.
  2. Print the clearance form and fill it out for submission during the school clearance process. Copies of the form will also be sent to your email.

Required Documents for Upload:

    1. Proof of payment
    2. Passport photo
    3. Medical report
    4. JAMB Admission Letter
    5. O’Level Results (GCE/WASC/NCE/DIP/ACE/TC.II)
    6. Birth Certificate
    7. State of Origin Certificate

Forms to Expect via Email After Registration:

    1. FORM R/REG/01: Acceptance of Offer of Admission and Pledge
    2. FORM R/REG/02: Letter of Undertaking
    3. FORM R/REG/03: Provisional Clearance
    4. FORM R/REG/04: Credential Verification Form
    5. FORM R/REG/05: Payment Notification Slips and Proof of Payments
    6. FORM R/REG/06: Motivation Letter
    7. FORM R/REG/07: Referee Form (Your referee will receive an email with a link to complete this form.)

Step 7: Clearance and Matriculation Number

  1. Take your documents to your faculty officer for clearance. Ensure you with the original copies of the following documents:
    1. JAMB Admission Letter
    2. O’Level Results (not more than two sittings)
    3. Proof of Payment
    4. Medical Report
    5. Birth Certificate
    6. State of Origin Certificate
    7. First School Leaving Certificate
    8. School Testimonials
    9. Court Affidavits
  2. Once your submission is reviewed and cleared offline and online, your matriculation number will be automatically generated and sent to your email.
  3. If you do not receive it, visit the ICT department for assistance.

Step 8: Pay School and Hostel Fees

  1. Log back into the SUMAS Student Portal using your matric number.
  2. To pay school fees, generate an invoice by selecting either First Semester, Second Semester, or Full Payment from the dropdown menu.
  3. Print the invoice and pay at a bank, or pay online using the Pay Online option.
  4. After payment, ensure the status reflects as Successful, then print your school fee receipt.
  5. If you are applying for a hostel, repeat the same process for Hostel Fees.
  6. Visit the ICT if you have any payment status issue

Step 9: Clearance from Bursary  Department

  1. Take all printed receipts to the Bursary Department to obtain original receipts.

Step 10: Course Registration

  1. After successfully paying your school fees, log into the student portal and complete your course registration.
  2. Click the Course Registration tab and add the courses for the first semester.
  3. After adding your courses, click Submit.
  4. You can view and download your course form under the View Course Registration tab.

Note for Returning Students:
Steps 8 also apply to returning students for fee payments.
