The vision of State University of Medical and Applied Sciences Igbo Eno, Enugu State is “to be a leading university of excellence in medical and applied sciences”. The University will accelerate progress as an international leader in medical and applied sciences.

It will empower its students to fulfill their academic and professional passions in a university that is welcoming and inclusive for all students, lecturers, and professional staff.

 

 

The University will create innovative connections among medical, health, natural and applied sciences, fake ferrari and engineering. It will strengthen support for a dynamic set of lecturers dedicated to teaching, mentoring, research, clinical care, engineering services, and technology.

Our Mission

The mission of the University is to provide a learning environment in which staff and students can discover, examine critically, preserve, and transmit the knowledge, wisdom, and values that will help ensure the survival of this and future generation and improve the quality of life for all. The University will seek to help the student to develop an understanding and appreciation for the complex cultural and physical worlds in which they live and to realize their highest potential of intellectual, physical, and human development.

The state university of medical and applied sciences shall be firmly committed to offering students of widely varied ages, backgrounds, interests and needs, a broad range of educational opportunities and experiences.

 

Our Philosophy

The University is fully committed to efficient time management skills which are critical for students and lecturers alike in teaching and learning processes. Allocating realistic amount of time means effective learning for student and effective teaching for lecturers. How an institution defines time expectations for student, lectures, administrations, and other professional staff can establish the basis for high performances for all. Time on task will be a principle that applies to all person within, and all components of, an institution. The university will therefore consider student time on task (learning), lecturer time on task (teaching), and institutional time on task (devoted to teaching and learning). Student typically will have heavy course-hour requirement, and the University will expect a tremendous amount of work outside class in preparation for each hour.
