BIOGRAPHY

Onyishi George Emeka, currently works at the Department of Physics, State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, Igbo-Eno.

He holds B.Sc. Honours (Industrial Physics), MSc and PhD both in Geophysics from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

His current research is on the Evaluation of Aquifer Protective Capacity at State University of Medical and Applied Sciences.

Course Contents are Space and time:, Units and dimension, Vectors and Scalars, Differentiation of vectors (displacement, velocity and acceleration), Kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, impulse, force, and action at a distance, momentum conservation, linear momentum, kinetic energy, work and potential energy, rotation of rigid body, Gravitation (Newton’s law of Gravitation, Kepler’s laws of planetary motion, gravitational potential energy, escape velocity, Thermal physics, Waves.

PHY 351: Principles of Electronics
Course Content are D.C circuits, Kirchoff’s laws, network analysis and circuits theorems, A.C. circuits, inductance, capacitance, transformer, sinusoidal waveforms, average, rms and peak values. phasor diagrams, power, impedance and admittance, impedance matching. RLC circuits, Q-factor, resonance, network analysis and circuit theorems, Thevenin’s theorems, Norton’s theorem.
