A comprehensive study of the synthetic applications or reduction, oxidation, halogenation, alkylation aldol condensation and related reactions; acylation of active methylene, olefinic and aromatic systems; Michael Claisen-Schmidt, Knock-vezaged, Manniah, Perkin, Strobbe, Darzens and Witting reactions.
