Structured programming elements; Models for representing structured programming elements, Structured design principles, abstraction, modularity, stepwise refinement, structured design techniques, teaching, Program modularization (bottom-up approach, top-down approach, nested virtual machine approach); Language features for structured programming; Practical illustration of above concepts using a RAD, e.g., Visual Basic; Graphical User Interface (GUI) concepts; Event-driven programming; Time manipulation; graphics; multimedia; device control, Students learn programming concepts using a project-centred approach.
