A follow-up course to ARC 101. It acquaints the student with natural and man-made forms and examines architectural forms as quality of the environment. Practical exercises are

assigned with theoretical reflection aimed at making form a powerful design element and improving perception and imagination. Exposition to different contemporary forms,

especially those common to the tropics is essential. Different views of what the future will look like. Development stages in Architecture: from student to Graduate Architect; from pupil Architect to Associate, to full Membership, to Fellowship and others.

The collaborative nature of practice, local, national and international explained. Simple inter-disciplinary linkages of practice between different consultants are taught.

Field trips (not less than four in the semester) are required on site-works for Residential, Institutional, Commercial and Industrial buildings.
