Data Communication System & Network

This course covers fundamental principles underlying data communication systems & networks. Topics include data transmission basics, radio propagation issues, antennas, digital modulation, spread spectrum techniques and their applications, and popular standards: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, WiMAX and Bluetooth. Also presents practical knowledge to enable the design, testing, deployment, debugging and commissioning of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, WiMAX networks and point-to-point microwave systems. Discussions on cellular network technologies are also included.
