Building Components & Methods V

A course in building system with emphasis on the inherent properties of materials and their applications in construction. The course is designed to ensure students’ understanding of the reasons and constraints imposed by the nature of both materials and construction methods on design. Reinforced concrete frames, grids, shells, cable suspended roofs, thermal and sound insulations are also dealt with.
