Building Components & Methods II

The different elements and components of building construction from the sub-structure to the superstructure with emphasis on the differences in construction methods as they relate to the use of materials, environmental factors, function of the building and building elements – foundations, ground floors, bricks and block walling, lintels and arches, doors and windows. Use of newly processed industrial building materials, like titanium, tarpaulin bags filled with helium gas over large spans like football stadium, Rugby etc. Waterproofing building materials in basement, split levels and riverside structures are studied.
