Architectural Graphics I

A course in common drawing equipment, standard symbols used in plan drawing (representation of materials for construction, plumbing, services etc.) conventions, schedules, representation of scale and orientation and the presentation of architectural drawings. Laboratory/Studio course in Graphic symbols, conventions, interpretation of scales. Coursework will include practical exercises in the art and science of architectural lettering, proportions, and the meaning of lines when presented styles and weights. Emphasis will be on understanding architectural symbolism and communicating same in a manner that is compliant with industry standards.
