Pharmacotherapeutics I

Cardiovascular system: Hypertension, stroke, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, ischaemic heart disease – angina and myocardial infarction, thrombo and pulmonary – embolism. Diseases of the endocrine system – diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders; (risk factors e.g. Obesity). Respiratory system – asthma, COPD, Pnemonia,  pleuropulmonary and bronchial infections. Gastrointestinal system – peptic ulcer disease, constipation, diaarrhoea, emesis. Renal System/disorder: Acute and chronic kidney diseases; Hepatic system/disorders: hepatitis. Musculoskeletal disorders. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout; Diseases of the immune system  – HIV/AIDS, systemic lupus erythematosus; Dermatological disorders – acne, insect stings and bites, burns.
